Silver lining.

Silver lining.

January is 2/3 of the way through already, and I have little to report in the way of running. Lots of easy runs, just laying low for January. My official Boston training begins February 18, which gives me 8 full weeks, and in the meantime I’ll be building a base with distance runs. My next race will be the Shamrock 8k in mid-March.

The silver lining is that I’ve been channeling my competitive energies in other ways. I’ve expanded my Piece of Cake Running team, and can’t wait for the spring racing season to begin. I’ve also been preoccupied with figuring out creative ways to wear Oiselle to work, such as the outfit pictured above. Still trying to determine how I might get away with wearing the sweatpants I just ordered for my birthday (can’t wear them til February 17 anyway, so I have time). Side note: I share a birthday with Michael Jordan, Apolo Anton Ohno, and Paris Hilton.

What races are on your spring calendar? Do you share a birthday with any famous names?

  1. I love that you are trying to incorporate Oiselle pieces into your work outfits – I’ve been doing the same! The easiest have been the Runfinity Scarf, Wings Out Necklace and a few of the T-shirts under jackets.

    • Thanks Sun. I’ve had a few Fridays where I boldly wear my Trials hoodie… don’t know how I’ve gotten away with that one!
